Regional Category Manager – Logistics Europe (m/f/d)

Location: Wesel near Düsseldorf

Responsibilities

Exciting tasks await you – enrich our team by further developing European logistics and procurement strategies for air / ocean / land transportation as well as warehousing services. You will work closely with the Head of Logistics Procurement and with the respective stakeholders of the ALTANA divisions. You will also:

  • Implement a European tender roadmap with the target of regularly reviewing / tendering logistics services in the market in terms of costs and service
  • Strategically develop the logistics network regarding service provider management and costs / benefits
  • Further develop logistics reporting with the target of making the current / future procurement market situation accessible to the ALTANA organization

Requirements

With this profile, you convince us – Do you have a good understanding of processes within the supply chain as well as proven strength in conception and implementation? In addition to a completed master's, diploma or bachelor's degree in the field of economics / engineering or a similar field, we welcome several years of experience in the procurement of logistics services and in international project management. Further you have:

  • Experience in an international cooperation
  • Negotiation skills for logistics tenders
  • An excellent organizational understanding with a strong service and stakeholder orientation
  • Strong target group-oriented communication skills at different hierarchical levels
  • A high degree of personal persuasiveness and results orientation as well as very good written and spoken German and English skills
