How did you get to ALTANA?
As I was looking for an employer nearby for family reasons, I came across ALTANA on a job board.
How is your working environment?
Modern (open space office, laptop, iPhone), Friendly relationship among colleagues, Good exchange of information (meetings, e-mails, intranet, in person), A variety of tasks, Wide range of training courses (online training, seminars, advanced training), Trust-based with plenty of room for independent decision-making.
Has... always been your dream job?
No - I rather fell into it. I originally started my career in a marketing agency and then supervised various eCommerce systems as a project manager. I now use my experience from project coordination in IT projects. So I'm not a “classic IT person”, but one of many examples of how “career changers” are also very welcome in our IT department.
Location: Wesel, compatibility of family and career
Definitely yes.
For me personally, this means: flexible working hours through flexitime, parental part-time, later bridge part-time, gradual increase in hours after parental leave, 4-day week, 50% home office, uncomplicated vacation planning.

What should future colleagues know about you?
I don't have an IT background, so I can't do programming and don't work with “typical” IT applications & infrastructures. Nevertheless, I am very interested in understanding what my colleagues in IT are working on and in which way. I love organizing projects (schedules, to dos, documentation of information) and improving processes. I prefer to learn from others in my day-to-day work and actively contribute where I am needed. Agile working methods with regular agreements and open feedback rounds suit me. I need a team around me.
